WHAT IS AQUATIC THERAPY?
Aquatic Therapy is a rehabilitation that is performed in the water. The hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy of the water provide decreased pressure on bones and joints, allowing the patient to move with greater ease and support.
AQUATIC POOL FEATURES:

Moveable floor that allows patients to simply walk or be wheeled onto the floor and then lowered to any depth within the pool

Warm water atmosphere to promote circulation and relaxation of joints/muscles

Resistance jet technology to facilitate optimal strengthening

Underwater treadmill

Computer and camera systems to view underwater movement patterns

Who can benefit from Aquatic Therapy?
Anyone who is experiencing pain or loss of movement that is affecting their ability to function.

Do I have to wear a bathing suit?
A bathing suit is not required. The dress code requires that you wear a shirt, shorts or swimsuit.

What if I can't swim?
You do not have to know how to swim to use this pool. The HydroWorx 2000 model offers varying heights/depths to meet the needs of each individual patient.

Do I need a referral to receive aquatic therapy?
Yes; ask your doctor for a referral for aquatic therapy.
